University of Florida is top 5 — again — in U.S. News & World Report rankings – WUFT

The University of Florida continues to achieve, retaining its top-five public university status in this year’s national rankings.
On Sunday night, U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges 2023 ranked the university No. 5 – the second year in a row.
With new construction for the centers of Artificial Intelligence Academic Initiative Center and the Malachowsky Hall for Data Science and Information Technology, UF has plans on staying at the front edge of technology.
This new initiative aims to incorporate Artificial Intelligence into many of the majors available to UF students. This will allow the university to stay ahead of technology and become trailblazers in the field.
The university has also made classes smaller and more hands-on with a student – teacher ratio of 17:1 while in 2012 the student – teacher ratio was 21:1. As the only Florida school in the top five, the university continues to improve and build upon the school, striving to create a prestigious learning environment.
Despite challenges and obstacles faced such as news stories detailing alleged influence on academic freedom from politics and coronavirus policies.
To administrators, this achievement is a display of the hard work and dedication that the school staff has in creating a prestigious university.
UF has risen nine spots in the ranking since 2017.
