Actress Hurley shared her discomfort and annoyance as she travelled from the Antigua airport through British Airways and got stuck for around 20 hours.
Hurley reached out to her 621,600 followers and fans on social media and conveyed her displeasure experience at the Antigua airport.
On her part, she tweeted, “Stranded at Antigua airport with no food or water, taxis or hotels offered yet. Plane delayed 20 hours”.
In her tweet, she took time to criticise the poor service of British Airways and stated that she was left with no assistance regarding food or water, along with no offered hotels and taxis from their side.
Furthermore, the English actress added an hour later on her Twitter handle, “Still stranded- no food, water or hotel. Pretty dodgy service”.
She also tagged the official page of British Airways in her post to showcase her disappointment with the terrible service by their side.
Per the routes and timetable, the British Airways flight from Antigua to Gatwick was scheduled to arrive at 9.10 am on Tuesday but got delayed and was not expectedly to touch down until 5.25 am on Wednesday.
In her third tweet regarding her condition, she called British Airways and posted, “Still nothing from British Airways, Extraordinary service! Finally, we found a taxi to escape the airport after more than 12 hours with no food or water.”

At the end of her tweet, she used the hashtag #avoidflying to express her distress during the delay.
After she tweeted about her condition and displeasure, British Airways rapidly responded to her tweet, explained the entire situation, and said, “The unfortunate delay happened due to some technical issue with our flight planning.”
Moreover, British Airways extended their deepest apologies for the delay to the English actress and stated that “We’re sorry to hear your flight has been delayed overnight and about your experience, Elizabeth. We appreciate this isn’t an ideal situation for you. The airport team will do all they can to assist”.
The airlines also conveyed and advised Elizabeth Hurley to contact their customer care services upon her arrival at the destination and assured Hurley to cover the out-of-pocket expenses that she had to spend during the incident.
As per the updates on Twitter, Elizabeth Jane Hurley was not the only passenger who expressed frustration about the delay. Several other people took to Twitter and tweeted their disappointment regarding the British Airways services,
