While Pete Sampras was one of the greatest tennis players of his time, Wilson also was a popular actress. When asked in an interview about her role and career plans after childbirth, the actress said,
“He’ll be a little of Mr. Mom if he’s on the road or not. I told him, “Wait and make your decision once little Pee-Wee comes. Middle of the night wake-ups and feedings might make you go, ‘I really need to go play tennis.”
Sampras and Wilson are happily married and have two sons together. At the time of his retirement, Sampras had the record for winning the most Grand Slam singles titles (14).

Pete Sampras is among the top all-time tennis greats. In his illustrious career, the American won 14 Grand Slam titles. His success largely came on the grass court. Sampras won the Wimbledon Championships seven times in his career. His next best record was in the US Open. The American has five US Open titles to his name.
The remaining two Major titles came in the Australian Open. Despite being a prolific player, Sampras was unable to translate his prowess on the clay court. Surprisingly, the American never made it to the final of the French Open. His best performance on the clay-court Grand Slam, came in the year 1996 when he made it to the semifinals.
Sampras had an intense rivalry with compatriot Andre Agassi. The two played 34 matches and Sampras dominated with a record of 20-14. The 14-time Grand Slam champion retired on high as he won the 2002 US Open.
